So, what is Terra Firma all about?

Terra Firma: Latin for solid ground

That’s what we hope to cultivate for you through our seasonal wellness membership and other unique offerings.

Sometimes in life, we don’t get to choose what happens to us. However, we do get to choose how we react and deal with the cards we are dealt. These daily choices can lead to frustration, burnout, and exhaustion. We seldom take the time to stop, even for a day, and attempt to place our feet back on solid ground. Renewal and restoration look different for each individual person, and that’s why we curate our experiences, whether it be a seasonal membership offering or a local Terra Firma event, with your needs in mind.

Who did you design this for?

Burned out healthcare workers. Tired moms. Overwhelmed dads. Cops & Firefighters & Medics & Nurses who respond to terror everyday but can’t stop showing up. The restless SAHM. The midlife crisis. The quarter life refresh. The almost at the end. Those who care for those almost at the end. The grieving. The shellshocked. The mama with the sick baby. The mama with the “different” baby. The papa holding it all together. The grief worker, the social worker, the funeral director, the advocate who all swim in tears daily and are somehow still afloat. The athlete. The ex-athlete. The girl in the mirror.

The one in recovery. The one still healing. The seeker of more. The stifled adventurer. The brazen entrepreneur. The military wife. The frozen step forward. The empath who can’t stop feeling. The soul who can’t feel anything. The soil tender. The devoted teacher. The devout & questioning spiritualist. The worried mom. The crushed spouse. The head in the sky. The feet on the ground. The spirit emptied of compassion. The hyperfocused and hyperaware. The ones that hold hands. The ones that pick up the mess. The ones burdened by the responsibility of: keeping the lights on, upholding the law, forging a new path, protecting this house.

Hey there, i’m Tina!

Ever since I’ve been a kid, my favorite thing to do is wander, and if all goes well, get totally lost. Curating adventures for myself and others is something I’ve been doing all my life. By day, I’m a family & acute care nurse practitioner currently working in palliative care & hospice with extensive training in forensic nursing and trauma. I have a background in emergency services including death investigation, and am well acquainted with providing care to those grieving and experiencing traumatic and life changing events. I’m also a 200 hour certified yoga teacher and have completed certification in yin yoga & myofascial release. My own life changing events include being a mama to a feisty former micro preemie and journeying through 107 days of NICU life. I’ve also traveled around the world from Haiti to Africa volunteering and caring for children in medically underserved communities. I use travel, adventure and self discovery myself on a daily basis for healing and restoration and this is why I am so excited to bring you the concepts and ideas embodied in Terra Firma. So far, my favorite adventures so far include trekking to the top of Erta Ale, an active volcano in the Danakil Depression & bioluminescent kayaking in Maine!

& I’m Mariah!

Much like Tina, when motivated and interested I dive into things head on. I am an early childhood special education teacher and very much enjoy the creative side of teaching and planning. My role here at Terra Firma is helping to bring Tina’s ideas to fruition. My ideal retreat experience would definitely include a cup of coffee, a quest to find a yummy local pastry, maybe a puzzle or mind game type activity, and silence/meditation (I have two children under two so this is a must for me!)

We’ve been adventuring together throughout our lifetime. With Tina’s wandering and wild spirit and Mariah’s cautious & creative side, we balance each other out to bring you Terra Firma.

What our customers are saying: “Beyond impressed with Terra Firma. Each item and activity is so thoughtful and well planned out. Beautifully packaged and everything is so easy to follow. So grateful for TF and can’t wait till my next retreat!”

“Such a nice job with the whole package. We felt like we got a great value and it really made the trip even more special. Would definitely book another retreat!”
